Rainwater Harvesting – An Alternate Water Source
Design, Installation, Start-up, and Service, we provide turnkey rainwater harvesting systems for residential applications.
1. Capture | Convey
Rainwater is captured on the rooftop. Sealed conveyance will be installed from each downspout and directed through pre-filtration to storage.
Prior to entering storage, all captured water passes through a centrifugal pre-filter. The pre-filter is a first flush device, filters below 300 microns, and oxygenates the water prior to entering storage.
3. The Storage Ecosystem.
Sealed conveyance and storage, pre-filtration, and various flow devices in the storage containment are designed to maintain superb stored water quality. Our unique design causes the natural formation of a microbiological deck, which maintains a storage ecosystem that results in clear, odor and color free water without the use of chemicals or need of maintenance.
We offer a wide range of below and above ground storage options to best suit the needs of each custom job. From ridged polyethylene, corrugated steel, and timber tanks, to collapsible bladders and modular storage systems.
5. Pump, Filtration, and Purification.
Rainwater is naturally soft and great tasting having just come from nature’s big distiller – the clouds. Because the water in storage is kept clear and odor-free, filtration required for potable use is minimal. Filters are used to “polish” for taste and ultra-violet is utilized for sterilization.
6. Automatic Back-up.
An automated crossover to the secondary water supply (municipal, well, etc) is installed to assure seamless water supply in a drought condition. Sole source systems can be installed by including additional capacity for extended drought periods.
7. Capacity Regulator.
The capacity regulator is installed when the rainwater harvesting system is an integral part of the site’s stormwater management plan.
